Playdate with the Richter's

Last Friday Jodie was off so we met her family at Sevier Park to play and eat lunch on 12 South.


On our walk from the park to eat lunch. We attempted Burger Up but it was too packed so we ate at Sloco- it was amazing! Great sandwiches!



After lunch we of course had to go next door to Las Paletas for Popsicles.


Kyle tried the blueberry chocolate chip.

Maryland Farms Pool

The YMCA here is awesome. We joined at the Christ church Y but it doesn't have a pool, so yesterday I took the kids to see the Maryland Farms Y pool.


This is really the first time Kyle has been to a pool like this with a splash pad. She had a blast.



Hunter did too.

Summer time fun

We've been getting settled in to our little routine. We had a good time celebrating Kyle's birthday, then Billy had a really busy call week. So Kyle, Hunter, Codi, Tess and I have been hanging out playing.


Kyle got the cutest doctor kit from the Richter's.



I've started rice cereal and a couple veggies for Hunter. He's a disaster in the bumbo so I usually have to hold him.


Kyle got this precious jewelry box from her cousin Ellen.

Tuesdays from 3:30-6:30 there is a farmers market at Sevier Park. Kyle got a grilled cheese from the cheese truck.



We walked over to the Popsicle store on 12th Street. They are all natural and so yummy.


H really wants to start crawling you can tell!


Kyle and her pink boots she got from aunt KK- I've gotten so many compliments!



I braved a trip by myself to the adventure science center. It's a three story crazy place full of science activities. We had fun but it was exhausting with both.

Lost River Cave & Valley - Bowling Green, KY

After we dropped Nonni and Poppi off at the airport, Billy and I took the kids on to Bowling Green, KY (only about an hour and fifteen minute drive). We wanted to see one of the caves - Lost River Cave - which is a tour with a boat underground. The other cave, Mammoth Cave had a tour but too long with the kids, so we decided to do this one.

Just a precursor to Hunter having a meltdown during the tour. We were not expecting it from him, but he screamed the entire tour and apparently scared him.

Kyle's 2nd Birthday Party

We had a small gathering for Kyle's 2nd birthday. Nonni and Poppi came in town to visit, and we had the Richter's over and Mindy. Nonni helped me make burgers and fries, and I had a cake ordered from IveyCake. I also made oreo balls - purple icing to go with Kyle's purple themed party - her favorite color at the moment.

We left our grill in storage, so I went to Walmart to get a cheap one, and Billy is putting it together

HAPPY 2nd Birthday to my sweet Kyle. There is never a dull moment! Full of energy, still hates to take naps, go to bed, anywhere near her crib. Working on Paci - got to get rid of it. Kyle is talking up a storm - has a huge vocabulary! we are blessed. LOVE HER!

Grand Ole Opry - 7.13.13

Nonni & Poppi came in town to visit and celebrate Kyle's 2nd Birthday. we took them to the Grand Ole Opry. I was really impressed with the tour!
