Hunter is one month!

In keeping up with the tradition, Hunter got a blue teddy bear from Betty, and so he gets to do the monthly photo shoot like Kyle did. Hunter is doing great, already sleeps pretty well - which we are not used to since sister Kyle wasn't a fan of sleeping. His hair is falling out but he manages to get cuter and more handsome every day.

Hunter, friends & family

Mom came to visit two weeks after Hunter was born. Billy had already planned on "moonlighting" before Hunter's arrival so he had to work, which worked out nicely so Mom could help me with both.

First photo with both babies.

Billy had to work a bunch this week, so I drove Kyle and Hunter to the lake to hang out.

Kyle & Hunter

We took Kyle and Hunter to the arboretum to see the Dallas blooms of tulips. Billy took this picture of Kyle - it is by far one of my favorites if not my new favorite picture of her.

Kyle doing "tummy time" with baby brother.

Hunter actually likes tummy time. He's really good at it.

This picture makes me smile. Kyle was helping me get Hunter dressed, and Tess of course was in the room, so I managed to get Kyle and Hunter posed with their "sissy".

Can't believe how fast Hunter is growing, he'll be bigger than Kyle in no time!

Kyle's new thing lately is saying "one more", so we got an action photo of her saying it.

Kyle meets Hunter

I didn't know what Kyle's reaction would be when she met Hunter. Originally we weren't going to bring her to the hospital but I really missed her and wanted to see her, so Billy's parents brought her to visit on Saturday afternoon. She did pretty well seeing me, and only got upset when I couldn't leave to go home with her.

For the most part Kyle is mildly interested in Hunter, but as soon as he gets older they're going to be close buddies. I can't wait to watch them interact with each other.

Hunter White is born

February 1, 2013. Kyle and I headed to work and daycare that morning, I was feeling "funny" but I related it to being checked for progression the day before at Dr. Hagood's office (which I was only 2cm dilated and 50% effaced). During my shift at work, I still cramped and so I got in touch with my doctor and they told me to run over to see her partner Dr. Nockelberg. So I went to see her at 3:30 (left my bag, water and belongings at my work station) which she said I was probably having Braxton hicks and hadn't progressed any further, but since it was Friday afternoon, she sent me to Dr. Rinehart to get a fetal ultrasound. Hunter was "sluggish" and had to be buzzed a couple times during the exam, so Rinehart sent me to L&D ER to get further monitoring. They thought I was dehydrated and having stronger Braxton Hicks. (This was about 5:30, so I told work I wouldn't be back any time soon, I was still clocked in and in my full work clothes!) I was keeping Billy updated and he ended up coming to sit with me before he picked up Kyle from daycare. At 6 o'clock my nurse came in and said they wanted to monitor for 2 hours (until 7:30) so I sent Billy on to get Kyle and I figured I'd be leaving after monitoring. At 7:30 I was dying, and so when my nurse came back to check me I was in labor and had dilated to 5cm. So she wheeled me to an L&D room. In the mean time I called Billy and told him the good news and so he had our sweet neighbor Whitney come over to sit at our house after Kyle went to bed. About 8:15 I got my epidural (I had to be stuck twice) and by now I was 7cm dilated and having pretty strong contractions. Once the medicine kicked in I was better and Billy got there about 8:30. His parents were on their way to Dallas too. At 10pm my nurse called Dr. Nockleberg to update and she would be at the hospital at 10:30 to check my progress. So at 10:30 I was fully dilated and I started pushing.

And at 10:41 Hunter White Taylor was born! 7lbs4oz, 19.5 inches. His original due date was 2/19 but I never felt it was that date, so only Hunter knew when he was coming into the world.

Our sweet boy. I'm glad I stayed at the Hospital because when he came out his umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck twice, so God had already been watching over our little angel.

He got his daddy's looks, round face and cute nose

Christmas 2012

Christmas this year was so fun with Kyle. I had to work Christmas Eve (I was not happy about that at all) so after I got off work, we packed up and drove to the lake. Kimberly and Jason had to leave early Christmas morning, so we opened presents when we got there. we are really looking forward to next Christmas. Kyle and Aidan will be older and able to play and Aunt Grace will be there (she spent this Christmas in Ireland with Jeff - who became her fiancé).

we opened our gifts before we went out of town.

Christmas 2012

This year I wanted to get Kyle's picture with the northpark Santa Claus, especially since we are moving in June. I got to the mall early in the morning and picked up a number, and the guy told me to come back in the afternoon.

Standing in line to get her picture with Santa.

Of course having snacks before she gets her pictures.

Kyle pulled through and we have a classic picture for a keepsake.

We gave Kyle her own chair.

One of the many Christmas gifts. She had a great time!
