Arlington National Cemetery, Pentagon & Capital

Our sightseeing excursions weren't at the pace we were accustomed to since we had Kyle with us, so most tourist stuff was done singly, then we had to get Kyle a nap in between. she was pretty flexible, and tagged along pretty easily, she liked the Bjorn the best to be carried in.

after the long hike from the entrance to the changing of the guards

Changing of the Guards - Kyle actually was quiet during the whole ceremony

Traditional taking down the American flag

Got to switch and let Dad's back get tired

one of the many pit stops to let Kyle eat

Kyle LOVES her snacks

Against the law photo in the DC subway - I got "coached" - oops, didn't see the large no photo sign

Kyle & I in front of the library of Congress - a rare pic of her in her stroller

family pic at the senate

Capital - kyle was done with her stroller by now

A nice Asian lady stopped Billy to get her pic, so we had her take ours, however, the capital was supposed to be in the background, she obviously didn't realize we were tourists

Pentagon - only picture you could take without getting the actual Pentagon (which you can't take pics of at all)

Billy & Blake by the "vagina" - every guy in DC thought it was hilarious, so we had to get one by this

Smithsonian natural history - coolest part were these pictures

family pic - Kyle refused to face the camera that day

Part of Billy's residency required him to live in Washington DC for 4 weeks to attend a conference AFIP. Kyle and I were not able to move with him, but we were able to get off and go visit him for a week. Kyle did great on her first flight, luckily Billy had to come home the first weekend to be in a wedding, so we all flew back to DC together.

Kyle's friends Ella & Grace

We had a pleasant surprise of having the Spinn's come in town and stay with us. Kyle got to hang out with her friend Ella and get some pointers on technique of crawling and walking. The visit was short but so fun to catch up and see how much our girls have grown.

Ella and Jodie. We all met up and ate Mexican food at Manny's

Ashley's baby shower

Ashley's baby shower was so fun. It was the first baby boy shower I've helped with and gone to. Plus I had my little sidekick Kyle along with me of course, which made it so much more special

Down time with Kyle

One of Kyle's favorite things is Aunt Hayley's bear in her cousin Ellen's room. We have discovered that Kyle really loves stuffed animals. She talks to them and squeals in delight when she gets to touch them. Tommy took these pics of her when we went to visit

Hanging out pre-Ellen!

Got cancelled from work so Kyle got to test out her bikini while I bathed the dogs

Kyle is learning to use her sippy cup. She hasn't fallen in love with water yet but we've been practicing with every meal.
