happy 38 weeks

Got cancelled from work, of course after they called I couldn't go back to sleep, so Billy was off so we got up and I went to go fish with him before it got insanely hot at one of the doctor's land up outside Lone Oak. we had a good time, I am definitely feeling the effects of pregnancy - my hands and feet were so swollen by the time we got done, but it was worth the trek up there.

not sure how I caught a bass, but it's my 2nd one in my fishing career

37 weeks

So Kyle is now full term. I'm sitting in the waiting room to see my doctor and today is the day to see if I am actually dilated and effaced. I haven't really felt any different so I am not sure what she'll tell me. Kind of excited because maybe this will be a reference point to give me some idea when Kyle will make her arrival. Oh I think it's really starting to hit me - the anticipation and wonder what she will look like and be like. Time has really flown by, and now I'm sure it's going to pick up even more. Will keep everyone posted and won't be long until we have her here with us!

Finishing Touches

So yesterday was a really successful day. Kimberly and Charlotte graciously came over and we went to Pottery Barn, Target and Michaels to get the finishing touches on Kyle's nursery. It looks wonderful, all we need now is Kyle to make her arrival. I am so excited for her to be here, I just keep wondering what she's going to look like, and more importantly get to meet this little one that has been growing inside for 9 months! here are some pictures of the nursery completed.

Cute letters that Mom took and gave Kyle, we put on her door, looks great! love them

3 mirrors we got at pottery barn.  Letters Crissy made for Kyle. Shelves on the wall added places for more frames & decor. Cute side table we got at pottery barn. Love all these pieces

Ribbon we got from Michaels, and then frames hung, going to put her hands and footprints in them!

It's beginning to look like a nursery!!

So things are coming along nicely. This past week we made big progress in the nursery. Billy took the day off Tuesday after working the Memorial Day weekend, and he and Clayton were able to move the crib and dresser into the room. That afternoon, I was able to help Billy put together the crib (pleasantly surprised how easy it was) and get the dresser in order. so after much organizing last night after my work shower, the room actually looks pretty much together, just need a little decorating.

patiently waiting......carpet has arrived

This is how the office has looked - been a good storage for Kyle's stuff

This is our dining room which has stored her crib and dresser
Today was a really productive day. Billy took the day off, so he and Clayton went fishing then they came back to the house to move the dresser and crib to the nursery. so this afternoon we were able to assemble the crib and dresser. Things are starting to move along, and I am feeling like I am soon going to get organized. (will have to post new pics from today and progress of nursery)

more shower pictures

I wanted to add a few more pictures from the shower. Mom was in charge of getting everyone's pictures, but some didn't turn out as clear, so I chose the best out of the group to highlight the majority of the people there. sorry if some I left out, but it was such a nice shower! LOVE LOVE LOVED it!

First baby shower

We had a really good turn out at Kyle's baby shower. Kyle is already so lucky to have such great friends and family that already love her. I had such a great time, we are so blessed already with more than we need. I cannot believe I am already 29 weeks.....Time is flying by.
