11 month mile marker

Time has really gotten away from me! I can't believe its 2014! The holidays came so fast - Billy was able to get a week off from work so we drove to Texas (Codi and Tess came too). Kyle and Hunter are both so active, so I am exhausted by the end of the day most days. They are playing together more but Kyle still gets jealous of Hunter, so she's pretty rough with him, so he's going to be tough! He absolutely adores her and she can always make him laugh!

Hunter's milestones at 11 months -
~6 teeth (two top, 4 bottom)
~free standing and can walk with walker
~can clap his hands, shake his head "no"
~can use a straw
~still very chatty

9 & 10 months

I have been so behind in my updates, but at least I haven't missed any monthly pics. Hunter is mobile!! He started crawling on Halloween so things have gotten crazier trying to make sure he stays out of trouble.

Kyle and Hunter with both bears of course.

9 month milestones:
4 teeth (2 upper and 2 lower)
Crawling
Loves to eat- gets impatient as soon as he sits in his highchair
A little separation anxiety with mom

Thanksgiving came fast! We stayed in Nashville and celebrated with the Jani family. Billy ended up getting off last minute on Friday so we decorated the house for Xmas!

10 month milestones:
Crawling and pulling up on everything
Loves to get in drawers and pull everything out
"Sippy cup stealer" any cup out Hunter will take and drink from it

This picture cracks me up. He loves his new chair he got for Xmas.

Gentry Farms

Billy and took the kids to Gentry Farms the first weekend of October. We went early, but it still warmed up by the time we left. We had a blast! It was such a cool, kid-friendly place down in Franklin. I had never been to Franklin before, so I thought it was such a neat little town - definitely want to go back and see the downtown again sometime soon.
Kyle and Dad in front the barn - the barn had a toddler maze inside

Hunter in the kids activity center. He loved playing with the corn.

Group shot minus me.

Growing tall like a weed ;)

They had a hay ride through the farm land. Kyle and Hunter both loved it because we got to see the cows up close.

I had to get a pic with Hunter in front of another sign

cute little Hunter

They had a family corn maze, we actually found it pretty challenging.

Billy got this cool pic of Kyle in the corn stalks

The pumpkins we picked and wheeling them to the truck

This is at the front entrance to Gentry Farms

Me and the kids in the pumpkin patch.

Really enjoyed Gentry Farms. It was definitely one of my favorite things we have done so far!

8 months

Can't believe that time is flying by so fast. 8 months is a tough (but really cute) age because he's trying to crawl- he gets in a bind and pretty much as soon as you set him down he tries to crawl and belly flops on the floor, so you have to get him up and do it all over again.

This is the cutest sleeper/onesie Nonni found. Still have to get him and daddy together for the "scrub" picture.

I quickly remembered how the photo sessions get more challenging, it was hard to get him to sit still. The chair is also getting smaller with both of them and their bears.

This sums up how he is these days. He has a cute, sweet personality.

I love his face in this shot.

Two person requirement for this session. Haha!
Hunter's 8 month recap:
~we are still waiting for the top two teeth to break all the way through and join the bottom two
~eats almost anything you put in his mouth- gets really impatient at eating times (you can't get food to his mouth fast enough)
~loves bath time with his sister now
~almost about to take off and crawl, pulling up on stuff
~ needs assistance with sippy but can drink from it

Grace's Wedding

Grace's wedding was a big treck for our family! We had to buy 3 tickets this time since Kyle was a big girl......2 should be an exception, ha.

She rode in her daddy's lap for the majority of the flight. This was Hunter's second flight.

He wasn't interested in the toys I packed - just the germ infested seat belt go figure.

This flight definitely confirmed my inability to travel with these two kids by myself.

Playing at Nonni and Poppi's house.

Cousin Aidan joined in too.

Hunter supporting his Aggies for game day.

Kyle getting ready for her flower girl debut.

The Mallette's. Aidan's ring bearer outfit was precious.

Our family minus Hunter. He stayed with a babysitter. Poor guy doesn't stay up past 6:30.

Kyle with her aunt Grace before the wedding. More pics to come once we get them from the wedding. Billy and I weren't able to take very many since we were in the wedding. It was fun going home to Texas, just wished we would have extended it another day.

Kentucky Derby

The Kentucky Derby was the other half of our weekend trip to Louisville. Sundays in the fall are family fun days, so we took the kids to see the horse races. It was fun to see the horses race, but the time in between the races was hard to keep the kids entertained.

Kyle picked a bag of cheetos for her snack

there they go!

pretty good view for Kyle and lovey of course

One last pic of Kyle at the Kentucky Derby

We found a little park close to our hotel - we stayed on the Indiana side

Jim Beam & Louisville Slugger 9/14

Billy had a free weekend off in September, so I planned a little weekend getaway to Louisville, KY. On the way, we stopped by Jim Beam. We ended up not doing the tour because it was not convenient for kids, so we just walked around the property instead, which worked out better for us anyway.
Hunter and Dad pre-self-tour

Me and Hunter in front of the general store

Hunter and Kyle by Mr. Jim Beam

Group shot. It was a really pretty place to visit, all the things to see were all within walking distance.

We ate lunch at Linda's, a little country buffet style meal.

A favorite picture of them in the dug out

This huge bat is in the front of the Museum

Hunter and I taking a practice swing in the museum. Hunter loved the bats.

The Lousville Slugger Museum was really fun. It was very kid-friendly, had a short tour through the warehouse, where we got to see how bats were made. If you are passing through Louisville, I would highly recommend stopping by this place.
