HALLOWEEN!

Halloween was so fun this year. The original plan was for our family to be dressed up as The Avengers, but with traveling to Spokane and my expanding waistline, Tess, Codi & Kyle were the representatives. I made Tess & Codi's (miraculously they turned out) and then we bought Kyle's - but added a girlie flair to "the Hulk" and of course had to stuff her costume to make her look bigger.

Kyle = The Hulk. Billy and I could not stop laughing when she first got into character.

Captain America and The Hulk

adding the stuffing to her costume made it way more believable

The Hulk, Captain America & Thor

Tess's was great - Codi - minimal body coverage since she gets so freaked out

we walked down to the Code's house for a Halloween party with the neighborhood kids - it was a great turnout - hotdogs and cupcakes

even came with a bounce house

Kyle and her neighborhood friend, River

Family photo after Kyle trick or treated - we made it to 5 houses,  Kyle was a trooper!

Trip to Spokane, WA

Billy and I decided to take Kyle with us to visit The Watson's one more time before they moved from Spokane. This trip was definitely the farthest Kyle had travelled and she did pretty well, however, we learned that any flight with a lay over was more challenging than a direct one, so Kyle would probably not travel this far until she got a little older. It was a fun but tiring trip to see them, Kyle regressed and did not sleep through the night one single night we were there, so Billy and I were exhausted.

Kyle enjoyed her vacation - she got to spend time playing with Renna, 3 1/2, and then be around Bryce who was 5 months old.

State Fair of Texas 2012

This year we took Kyle to the Fair on our usual Wednesday - we had a failed attempt on Columbus Day - I had been cancelled from work and didn't realize it was a school holiday + fair day - so the second attempt was much better and we had a good time - it was warm of course being mid-October in Dallas :)
Our first stop was the petting zoo - it was surprisingly really good! we spent the majority of the Fair time here.

The petting zoo had a ton of different exotic animals to look at-
some which I had never seen before in person

We got to feed the animals with feed we bought at the entrance

The animals were actually very impressive - came up to the fence and let Kyle pet them

SO thankful I was able to take a photo with Big TEX before he caught on fire later in the week.
Kyle will have to be reminded that she got to see the original big Tex 2 years in a row

Daddy/daughter pic in front of Big TEX.

This year Kyle had her first Fletcher's corny dog. We also tried the fried Jambalaya and fried cookie dough. All in all it was a good trip to the Fair this year - Kyle really enjoyed herself.

too cute not to post

These were some cute pics I came across on our computer. I know she's at least 13 months here. She loves walking around with Codi & Tess - she loves following them and trying to boss them around.

Her "smile for mommy" pose.

At Twila's (friend through work) little girl Ryleigh's birthday party - in September- so Kyle was 14 months here. This is the first time she got to play on the play ground

This is the first time Kyle got to go down the slide. As you can see on her face, she loved it.

Jackson Hole trip

My cousin Kailey was spending a semester in Jackson hole, WY as an elective for her architecture major. We decided to take a girls trip to see her and celebrate Mom's 60th birthday.

Kyle's first time to the playground. She loved it!

Got the hang of sliding.

The swing was a huge hit! She didn't want to come out.

We drove up to Bear World in Idaho. They had a petting zoo in part of it and Kyle absolutely loved it. She really loves animals and this park had animals that actually were interactive so We got to feed them and pet them.

Kyle getting the feed out to feed the deer.

Amusement park where you can see was not busy and we got a personal tour.

Accompanying Kyle down the slide.

Four generation pic in front of our beautiful hotel

Birthday cake that mom's boss sent to the hotel room.

Delicious corn on the cob we got at a market in the jacksonhole square.

Jackson Hole town square. Cute shops and very dog friendly. I really wish the girls got to come. They would have had a ball. It was a beautiful place, awesome weather. Can't wait to go back.

Getting ready for Halloween

This year Kyle was ready for all the decorations for Halloween. We went out and picked some pumpkins to put on the front porch. She had a great time posing for pictures with them

Cheesing it up for her mommy.

Hayley found a Halloween dress on zulily and we each bought one, then met at the arboretum to take pictures in the matching dresses with our girls.

At the entrance of the arboretum waiting for Hayley and Ellen

Of course having a snack in the mean time. More pictures to come of Kyle and Ellen. Got come really cute pictures of them in the pumpkin patch.
